Error MaxWebConfigFileSizeInKB when installing Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 10

During Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 10 in a new server the administrator may get an error related to MaxWebConfigFileSizeInKB during the Readiness Checks.


In the following page is a brand new installation of Exchange Server 2013 Cumulative Update 10 on top of Windows Server 2012 R2.


The issue may happen when the administrator run the Exchange Server 2013 CU10 installation process without running the pre-requisites. In order to solve this issue, we need to run the following cmdlet using PowerShell, and after completing the installation process we need to restart the server after that.

Install-WindowsFeature AS-HTTP-Activation, Desktop-Experience, NET-Framework-45-Features, RPC-over-HTTP-proxy, RSAT-Clustering, RSAT-Clustering-CmdInterface, Web-Mgmt-Console, WAS-Process-Model, Web-Asp-Net45, Web-Basic-Auth, Web-Client-Auth, Web-Digest-Auth, Web-Dir-Browsing, Web-Dyn-Compression, Web-Http-Errors, Web-Http-Logging, Web-Http-Redirect, Web-Http-Tracing, Web-ISAPI-Ext, Web-ISAPI-Filter, Web-Lgcy-Mgmt-Console, Web-Metabase, Web-Mgmt-Console, Web-Mgmt-Service, Web-Net-Ext45, Web-Request-Monitor, Web-Server, Web-Stat-Compression, Web-Static-Content, Web-Windows-Auth, Web-WMI, Windows-Identity-Foundation
