In this Tutorial series we will go over the process to create a new Office365 and Windows Azure subscriptions and after that we will have the basics in place to start managing synchronization between our on-premises Active Directory and Windows Azure Active Directory (WAAD).
In order to avoid a single long Tutorial with all the steps we created a series of Tutorials that are going to be published in a daily basis here at AndersonPatricio.ca. The scenario for this series is pretty simple and in our own infrastructure we will have only a few servers. All users in our on-premises will be synchronizing to WAAD and from there we will be able to use all the benefits of the Cloud which means that after this series we will be able to take advantage of this directory and support authentication on custom applications and any other offer from Azure.
- A subscription on Windows Azure (Credit Card will be required however the first 30 days are free)
- A subscription with Office365
- A valid domain for testing (use any cheap providers to get a test domain)
- A server for the Synchronization Tool
- At least one for to be the Domain Controller
